GIRL IN THE CITY-Having a roommate.

You know the best part of living far away from your family and your comfort zone in an entirely new city, with different cultures and traditions. especially a metropolitan city. A city like Mumbai. is that you get to meet a lot of people from varied backgrounds and cultures, that makes Mumbai a mixture of different people with different culture and traditions and then you see yourself blending into it. it takes time though, but it eventually happens. and you wont even know when you fall in love with this city and never wanna move out.

When I got to Mumbai and started living in a PG which was horrible , I moved out in like three months and hunting down another house was like next to impossible. when I finally found one I decided to move in with my friend from college who was also new to the city and she had to move out of her PG due to same reasons. we both were all excited to live together and have fun as she was my first friend I had made in college. we thought living alone would be an easy task, if only we knew how difficult it would be since the beginning , we might have had second thoughts about it but nevermind 😛

From sharing the ghar ka Rashan, shopping for groceries, hanging out, going to college together we would do everything together like a duo, we sure had our ups and downs , but she became family eventually, it wasn’t easy to adjust at first but you eventually learn how to, people change you, but it’s up to you whether you change for the good or bad. it was a great year. we didn’t realize but we made a lot of memories. we had to moved out of that house since the term was over and her family had shifted to Mumbai. ,I had to hunt houses all over again…
